FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: active-matrix substrate of the present invention is a substrate having an analogue gradation-controlling active matrix having a plurality of pixels, each having a current-controlled light-emitting element and a control transistor. The current-controlled light-emitting element has a pixel electrode which is electrically connected to the control transistor. The control transistor transmits current to the current-controlled light-emitting element through the pixel electrode. The plurality of pixels include a first pixel and a second pixel arranged next to each other. The first pixel is a pixel to be scanned after the second pixel, and part of the gate electrode of the control transistor of the first pixel is situated between the pixel electrode of the current-controlled light-emitting element of the first pixel and the pixel electrode of the current-controlled light-emitting element of the second pixel when viewed from above the main surface of the substrate.
EFFECT: invention eliminates the decrease in response speed of the current-controlled light-emitting element.
