METHOD OF DETERMINING DEGREE OF TEMPORO-TENTORIAL CONING OF BRAIN STEM Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC A61B5/55

Abstract RU 2503410 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to neurosurgery. Spiral computed and/or magnetic-resonance tomography of brain is carried out. Changes are identified at the level of tentorium cerebella incisure in frontal projection. In case of 1-2 mm displacement of incus hippocampi and parahippocampal gyrus in medial direction under free edge of tentorium cerebella incisures, degree of temporo-tentorial coning of brainstem is considered to be moderate, if wedging of both medial parts of temporal lobes is equal 3-4 mm, degree is considered to be expressed, and if depth of wedging of medial parts of temporal lobes is more than 5 mm - considerable.

EFFECT: method increases reliability of diagnostics of degree of temporo-tentorial coning of brainstem.
