FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: computer tomography (CT) and/or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the brain are performed, exploring the regions of the hippocampus and para-hippocampal gyrus. Upon detection of neuroimaging signs of circulatory disorders in the region of the hippocampus and parahippocampal gyrus, which manifest themselves in the form of an increase in the volume of hippocampus, increased density of the hippocampus and parahippocampal gyrus tissue due to hemorrhagic impregnation, hyperemia due to venous outflow amid development of dislocation syndrome caused by hemorrhage, sepsis development is predicted.
EFFECT: expanded ability to predict sepsis development in patients of this group through evaluation of neuroimaging changes.
