SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an empty barrel for sensitive to air and/or moisture connections with connecting node and an internal volume of at least 300 litres, as well as an adapter for connection of the empty barrel, as well as to its application. Object of the invention is reduction of risk of industrial pollution of ultra high-purity compounds when changing barrels within the current process. The barrel for high-purity and ultra high-purity sensitive to air and/or moisture, liquid or capable of condensing compounds of silicon or germanium, has a cylindrical housing and on both sides of the housing the convex bottom and an upper convex part, a support, connecting node. The above connecting node has a multiway system with two or more locking elements. At that the connecting node communicates with at least one locking element and is made with the ability to be connected to the distillation column. The multiway system communicates with the receiving tube. The shut-off element is a valve or a tap. At that the barrel has an internal volume of at least 300 litres and the material of which the barrel was made, and the connecting node comprises stainless steel which is electropolished.

EFFECT: reduction of risk of industrial pollution of ultra high-purity compounds when changing barrels within the current process.
