SUBSTANCE: method of scheduling resources in a communication link over which scheduling requests are transmitted from a first entity to a second entity includes a procedure for determining availability of any of the following conditions: time passed since the last scheduling request exceeding a set time period; an uplink requirement exceeding a predetermined level or semi-permanent provision of scheduling resources is configured; and if so, transmission and/or initiation of scheduling requests is suppressed.
