FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: nozzle coking parameters and jet engine thrust parameters corresponding thereto are loaded to computer data base with appropriate program. System of transducers measures current maximum thrust at whatever operating conditions to be fed to computer data base. Then current maximum thrust is compared with preset values to determine optimum nozzle coking degree with respect to relation between the number of completely or partially coked nozzles and total number of uncoked nozzles to define jet engine residual life therefrom. Proposed method allows diagnosing the jet engine state at takeoff and in flight. Note here that this is permissible without engine dismantling and placing in repair.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of diagnostics and flight safety.
