FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method for preparing yttrium-aluminosilicate glass microspheres for the radiation therapy involves glass melting from the agents Y2O3, Al(OH)3 and SiO2 at temperature 1600-1650°C and glass working by rolling through chill heat-resistatn metal rolls. The prepared microparticles are modified by etching in hydrochloric acid HCl at pH=1-3 and temperature 10-79°C.
EFFECT: preparing the microspheres for the radiation therapy a surface layer of which is low in yttrium oxide for the purpose of optimising the yttrium atom diffusion into the human body.
