SUBSTANCE: thermoelectric device (100) includes a combination of thermoelements (60, 62) and thermomagnetic elements (65) and can be used together with the pyrrometallurgical processing plant (20), operation of which excites a magnetic field.

EFFECT: more electrical energy generated, higher efficiency of the electrolysis cell owing to generation of electrical energy using lost diffusion heat, while simultaneously increasing efficiency of heat recuperation due to magnetic field effects and improved control of formation of a frozen layer in an electrolysis cell for producing aluminium.
