FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to systems for production and infusion of radiopharmaceutical preparations. A safety assembly comprises first and second compartments with each of first and second side walls of the compartments form a radiation barrier and comprises a hole extending through a side wall and a lid contacting with a hole for alternated obstruction of the respective compartment and providing the approach to the respective compartment through the respective compartment. The first compartment comprises a radioisotope generator of the system, while the second compartment comprises a section of the infusion loop of the system that is found in the flow behind the generator, and comprises eluate and patient pipe lines and waste lines. The third compartment of the safety assembly is provided to integrate a waste container of the system and limited by a third side wall. A method for placing the infusion system consists in opening a first door of the safety assembly of the infusion system to provide an approach to the first compartment of the assembly and to facilitate opening the second door of the safety assembly. The door of at least one of the compartments, except for the generator section in the closed position may block the door of the generator section from opening. The system comprises the body structure, safety assembly and infusion system. The body structure comprises a case and a frame, while the case comprises a removable panel that is coupled with the second hole of the case and comprises a lock to provide an access into the inside.
EFFECT: using the invention enables a higher degree of personnel protection by the safety assembly design.
