FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an infusion system for application in nuclear medicine which produces radioactive liquid and executes infusion administration of the radioactive liquid to the patient undergoing diagnostic imaging procedure. The system comprises a protection unit with a certain number of compartments formed from a protective material providing a radiation barrier. The first compartment is configured to accommodate a radioactive isotope generator producing radioactive eluate by elution, the second compartment is configured to accommodate a beta radiation detector, the third compartment is configured to accommodate a gamma radiation detector. The compartments can be configured to minimize background radiation emitted by the radioactive isotope generator and registered by the gamma radiation detector.
EFFECT: technical result is improved quality of measurements executed by a gamma radiation detector in an infusion system.
