FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention aims at increasing efficiency of wide strip steel production. Proposed method comprises continuous rolling at direct etching plant and continuous cold rolling mill at preset etching and rolling conditions. Operating conditions of combined rolling and etching plants are optimised by setting initial rolling speed subject to content of carbon, silicon, manganese and micro alloying elements of titanium, molybdenum, vanadium and niobium in steel. Plant speed conditions are specified by mathematical relationships allowing from movable bowl speed in etching baths, etching bath length, etching interval calculated depending upon scale mass, strip speed ahead of the first stand, allowing for geometrical and mechanical properties of movable bowl as well as parameters of rolling equipment.
EFFECT: optimised speed of combined rolling and etching plant.
