FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ice breaking. Proposed invention consists in the following: air-cushion vessel glides over ice cover to generate resonant flexural-and-gravitational waves (FGW). Note here that extra loads are applied to ice by hydraulic gun pre-mounted at said vessel to shoot water portions at frequency equal to that of resonant FGW to distance equal to 3/4 of FGW length from vessel location to cause the vessel sign-variable trim.
EFFECT: higher thickness of broken ice.
