FIELD: ice-technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ice-technology, particularly to ice breaking. Method of ice breaking is performed by air-cushion ship during its movement over ice with resonance speed. After excitation in ice of resonance flexural-gravity waves ship, within moving behind it with resonance speed first wave trough is imparted additional periodic reciprocating movements in direction of its movement with frequency of resonance flexural-gravity waves. Movements are provided maximum within wave troughs, that is equal to half their length, and ship is imparted lengthwise rolling with frequency of resonance flexural-gravity waves.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of ice breaking.
