FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ice-technology, particularly to ice breaking. Method of ice breaking is performed by air-cushion ship during its movement over ice with resonance speed. Note here that after excitation in ice resonance flexural-gravity waves ship within moving behind it with resonance speed first recesses waves is additional periodic reciprocating movement in the direction of its movement with frequency of resonance flexural-gravity waves. Movements provide maximum within waves recesses, i.e. equal to half of their length, a ship when performing movements turned through 90° relative to its initial direction of motion.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of ice breaking.
