FIELD: ice-technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ice-technology, particularly to ice breaking. Method of ice breaking is performed by air-cushion ship during its movement over ice with resonance speed. At that after excitation in ice resonance flexural-gravity waves ship within moving behind it with resonance speed first recess of waves is imparted additional periodic reciprocating movements in direction of its movement with frequency of resonance flexural-gravity waves. At that movements provide as maximum within recesses of waves, i.e. equal to half their length, and pressure in the air-cushion of ship is periodically changed with frequency of resonance flexural-gravity waves.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of ice breaking.
