SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of transport engine construction and can be used to improve the starting qualities of internal combustion engines, in particular for pre-start thermal preparation of internal combustion engines at negative ambient temperatures. The expected result is achieved by performing hollow tubes with heat-accumulating material made of metal; supplying the inlet and outlet pipes with two valves with temperature sensors; placing the winding of the induction electric heating device inside the phase transfer thermal battery housing; performing thermal insulation of the phase transfer thermal battery made of fiberglass.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of using a phase transition thermal battery, with reduced weight and size characteristics; an increase in the heating rate and the time to maintain the required temperature of the coolant in the volume of the internal housing of phase transfer thermal battery, when the internal combustion engine is not running (turned off).
