FIELD: analytical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical equipment and can be used for measurement of air humidity. DC voltage is applied to electrodes of a disc made of oxygen-containing electrolyte, and based on value of EMF, established on electrodes of the disc of proton-conducting electrolyte, analysed air humidity is calculated, wherein DC voltage is applied to electrodes of the disc made of oxygen-containing solid electrolyte, with supply of positive pole to electrode inside cell, and value of voltage is selected to provide in circuit direct current of 10-15 mA.

EFFECT: method of measuring air humidity consists comprises placing in analysed air flow an electrochemical cell with cavity formed by disc made of proton-conducting electrolyte and disc made of oxygen-conducting electrolyte, on opposite surfaces of each of discs there is a pair of electrodes, and capillary connecting cavity with gas flow.
