FIELD: physics, computer engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a touch panel and a method for production thereof. The touch panel has a pair of transparent substrates arranged opposite each other and at a distance from each other; connection leads on opposite surfaces of the pair of transparent substrates; an interconnection substrate between the pair of transparent substrates, having one surface which is electrically connected to the connection leads, and another surface lying at a distance from one of the transparent substrates, opposite the other transparent substrate; an interconnection printed-circuit board includes a basic film, having first and second surfaces, wherein the first surface is provided with the lead of a first upper electrode and a lead of a second upper electrode, and the second surface is provided with a lead of a first lower electrode and a lead of a second lower electrode, wherein the lead of the first upper electrode and the lead of the second upper electrode are electrically connected to the first and second upper connection leads through first anisotropic electroconductive films, respectively, and the lead of the first lower electrode and the lead of the second lower electrode are electrically connected to the first and second lower connection leads through second anisotropic electroconductive films, respectively; and an insulating layer which fills the gap between the pair of transparent substrates in the region where the interconnection substrate is located, in a state in which the interconnection substrate an the connection leads are connected to each other.
