FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: device for closure of sewage drains comprises a gripping mechanism with a drive and a plug with hooks and a fixator. The plug is made at least from three elements representing fragments of the cylindrical surface, the extreme ones of which are connected to the central one by means of spring-loaded hinged joints and equipped with facilities of interaction with the drive. At the same time all elements of the plug may have equal geometric dimensions, and the role of facilities of interaction of the extreme elements of the plug with the drive may be performed by the hooks of the plug. The device provides for selective limitation or full cutoff of apartment sewage drains from the communal sewage system without disconnection of the latter.
EFFECT: device is resistant to mechanical impact, is durable and may be used in pipelines of different diameters.
