FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: induction position sensor additionally comprises the second pair of flat coils (7) and (8) similar to the first one with a long fixed and a short movable coils, besides, the length of the fixed coil (7) must be such that during maximum displacement the short movable coil (8) does not reach outside the limits of the fixed coil (7), movable flat coils (4) and (8) of both pairs of the induction sensor are separated and rigidly connected to each other, the second fixed long coil (7) is energised from a generator of a sinusoid signal, movable coils (8) and (4) of both pairs are connected to each other by conductors. The fixed part of the first pair of flat coils of the induction position sensor may comprise two identical coils installed along the direction of displacement of the movable part with the coil, which at the same time is arranged in the original position in the centre between fixed coils of the fixed part.

EFFECT: considerable increase of reliability of operation of an induction position sensor.
