FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: device to determine breakthrough voltage of liquid dielectrics comprises a source of power supply with recording instruments and a control system, a test cell with liquid dielectric equipped with electrodes and a propeller mixer. The side wall of the cell body parallel to the axis of electrodes is made with a chamber, inside of which the propeller mixer is installed horizontally. The shaft of the mixer is perpendicular to the axis of electrodes along the line of their central symmetry. The mixer is connected with a drive via a magnetic coupling.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of measurement of breakthrough voltage.
