METHOD AND DEVICE OF MONITORING FOR PERFORMING RF SAFE MIT SCANNING Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC A61B5/05 G01V3/10

Abstract RU 2508046 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of radio-frequency scanning of MIT scanning of patients. Method of object scanning consists in carrying out RF simulation in order to assess to predict values of RF electromagnetic impact, applied on object, depending on presupposed working parameters of MIT on the basis of element of coil of RF transmitter and on the basis of object itself, comparison of assessed or predicted value of RF electromagnetic impact with critical or threshold value and carrying out MIT scanning by presupposed working parameters, if value of RF electromagnetic impact is lower than critical or threshold value, if value of RF electromagnetic impact is equal to critical or threshold value or is higher than it, stage with modified presupposed working parameters is repeated. Computer programme, adapted for method implementation, is stored on computer-readable carrier. Monitoring device for carrying out RF MIT scanning contains directed branching element on inlet of RF transmission coil to divert part of power of direct transmitted RF signal, which is supplied to RF transmitting coil, and part of power of reflected RF signal, which is reflected on RF transmission coil, and device of comparison and completion for presentation of factually transmitted RF power, applied to object. System of magnetic induction tomography contains monitoring device.

EFFECT: application of the invention makes it possible to prevent excessive RF impact, applied to object under examination.
