METHOD FOR NON-INVASIVE IDENTIFICATION OF OBJECTS BY NMR SPECTRA AND DEVICE FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G01N24/08

Abstract RU 2691659 C1

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: use: for examination and non-invasive identification of visually indistinguishable samples by nuclear magnetic resonance. Summary of invention consists in the fact that device for NMR detection of samples differing by their characteristics from reference, includes two inductance identical inductance coils connected in series to a signal receiver and configured to receive a reference sample in one of them, into a second sample, wherein one of the coils is connected by one end to one of the input ends of the signal receiver, the other – to one of the ends of the second coil, the remaining end of the second coil is connected to the other input end of the signal receiver, the coils are configured to switch modes of operation, at which induction EMF induced at the coil ends are summed or subtracted, and the device is configured to be placed in a homogeneous magnetic field with perpendicular location of the coil axes relative to the direction of the given field. Method of detecting samples, differing by their characteristics from reference, includes arrangement of reference and analysed samples in the above device with subsequent arrangement of coils with samples in homogeneous magnetic field with provision of perpendicular location of coils axes to given field, followed by radio-frequency excitation of resonant spins by NMR simultaneously in both samples with subsequent recording of NMR signals simultaneously from both samples to said excitation, and the sample, differing by its physical and chemical characteristics from the reference, is determined based on the results of comparing the NMR spectra of the obtained signals.

EFFECT: high accuracy of identifying the analysed object.
