SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of extinguishing forest surface fires. The method of prevention of spread of forest fire is that the fire edge or a ground layer of flammable material is preliminary affected by the air shock wave formed by the electric explosion of the conductors installed in the system of the electrodes and attached to them with a reliable electrical contact, placed in the cavity of the parabolic profile of the discharge chambers with a slotted longitudinal nozzle mounted on the lateral sides of the chassis of frame type with a trailer hitch. At that the application of the fire-extinguishing mixture, which is used as the fire extinguishing liquid, is carried out horizontally with the arranged spraying device, which is a unit of interconnected parallel tubes provided with spray nozzles located in one plane. At that the unit is mounted horizontally on the chassis with the ability of perpendicular displacement along two sides relative to the chassis and displacement beyond the chassis frame, and also with the ability to rotate in mutually perpendicular planes.

EFFECT: improvement of the efficiency of the method of fire extinguishing, quality of processing the site and effectiveness of fire extinguishing liquid.
