FIELD: fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: method for preventing propagation of ground forest or steppe fire by fire line laying and direct influence on the fire edge by applying fire extinguishing agent on surface combustible materials is proposed. According to the invention, fenders made in the form of two panels of non-combustible material are preliminary placed in front of the fire edge, the panels are fixed with each other in the upper part, and mounted on the ground with a panel turning angle by 45-60° relative to each other in the lower part, wherein the fire extinguishing agents are applied inside the fenders.
EFFECT: increasing effectiveness of preventing the propagation of ground forest or steppe fire, implementation of an arbitrary fire-fighting process.
