FIELD: suppression of forest ground fires. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying antiproofing powdered compound onto surface of combustible materials forward of fire zone or immediately onto fire zone edge; mixing said compound with combustible materials. Subjected to thermal effect, said compound is decomposed, with decomposition products such as ammonia, water steam and phosphoric acid penetrating through combustible material layer and suppressing combustion. EFFECT: enhanced reliability in fire suppression and increased efficiency in preventing fire from spreading.
