FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is EMM-12 material, having a structure characterised by an X-ray diffraction pattern. In freshly prepared form and calcined form, EMM-12 has an X-ray diffraction pattern including peaks which correspond to diffraction maxima in the range of 14.17 to 12.57 Ǻ, diffraction maxima in the range of 12.1 to 12.56 Ǻ. The material also has non-discrete scattering in the interval from about 8.85 to 11.05 Ǻ or have a region in between the peaks which does not contain peaks corresponding to diffraction maxima in the range of 10.14 to 12.0 Ǻ and diffraction maxima in the range from 8.66 to 10.13 Ǻ. According to the invention, the measured intensity for which a correction is made at the background level, at a point with the least value is not less than 50% of the intensity which corresponds to similar interplanardistance on a line which connects maxima in the range of 10.14 to 12.0 Ǻ and in the range from 8.66 to 10.13 Ǻ. Disclosed is a method of producing EMM-12 by processing material of the EMM-10-P family. A calcined modification of the material is also obtained. EMM-12 is used in catalytic reactions for converting hydrocarbons.
