FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: in the method of producing portland cement from a crude mixture which contains a carbonate component, a clay component, adjustment additives and a fluorine-containing mineralising agent for firing the crude mixture, the fluorine-containing mineralising agent used is ammonium bifluoride which is added to the cement crude mixture in amount of 0.23-0.70 wt %, and the crude mixture contains a carbonate component with particle size of (80-500) mcm in amount of up to 70%, and particles of the carbonate component with size of (0-80) mcm in amount of not less than 30%.

EFFECT: higher cost-performance ratio of producing portland cement and intensification of the process of firing the crude mixture when producing clinker in a revolving furnace.
