FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: device for removal of icicles from a cornice of a building roof comprises flexible cutting elements arranged along the cornice in parallel to it. The device comprises two angles capable of rotation and made of orthogonal planes-blades. Cutting elements are made in the form of parallel steel elastic strips connecting the planes and parallel to the building wall.
EFFECT: made as capable of relay loss of stability of its rectilinear shape in the plane of least stiffness under action of axial force, ie force of wind load exceeding its critical value for an appropriate elastic strip.
