FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for removing ice and icicles from the roofs of buildings and structures. The device for preventing ice and icicles comprises a carriage carrying carriages made in the form of upper and lower guides, an electric drive, and limit switches to ensure reverse movement of the carriage. A frame covering the surface to be cleaned is fixed on the carriage with a brush mounted for rotation and contact with the surface to be cleaned. The carriage is equipped with support and drive-support wheels fixed on the front wall of the carriage so that the support wheel rotates freely on the axis, and the drive-support wheel is connected to the shaft of the electric motor securely fixed on the front wall of the carriage, adapted to move along the upper and lower bearing guides and affect the limit switches located at opposite ends of the lower bearing guide.
EFFECT: operational reliability of the device.
