SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to a method for preparing a plasma sorbent made of granulated activated carbon, a method for preparing and using it for free hemoglobin removal. The method for preparing plasmosorbent involves dust elimination and washing until parent activated carbon shows a neural reaction; then it is placed into an electrolytic cell containing an electrolyte of aqueous sodium chloride in the concentration of 3.42 mole/l, pyrrol in the concentration of 0.14 to 0.89 mole/l and coppoer sulphate in the concentration of 0.10 mole/l. Then carbon is anode-polarised at a constant potential of 0.8 V in relation to a silver chloride electrode; that results in precipitation of polypyrrol and copper ions in the coating-related amount of 1.0 to 3.0% of the carbon surface. Then modified activated carbon is washed in sodium chloride 0.15 mole/l. A method for using plasmosorbent consists in the fact that prepared plasmosorbent is placed into a cylindrical column that is used to pump through blood plasma containing free hemoglobin at 100 ml/min by a hose pump.

EFFECT: invention provides free haemoglobin removal by hemosorption in an individual by preparing selective plasmosorbent.
