FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to removal of hydrogen fluoride produced in production of aluminium from aluminium oxide. Gas-cleaning system 1 comprises scrubber chamber 8, 10, 12 for mixing process gas with dispersed aluminium oxide and filter device 24, 26, 28 arranged downstream of said scrubber chamber relative to process gas flow. Device 40, 42, 44, 50 serves to measure sulfur dioxide concentration in process gas flow downstream of sad filter device 24, 26, 28. Control device 45 is coupled with sulfur dioxide metre 40, 42, 44, 50 to use measured sulfur dioxide concentration for estimation of hydrogen fluoride removal efficiency at gas-cleaning system 1.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of fluoride removal.
