FIELD: chemical industry.

SUBSTANCE: system 26 for purification of gas coming from one or more electrolytic elements in the production of aluminum is intended for one or more aluminum electrolytic elements 14 and is located at a level, which, along the vertical, is higher than a level of electrolytic elements 14. System 26 contains case 60 having at least partially porous lower part 60A and forming inner area 62 of gas purification system 26. System 26 also contains device 64 for control of a flow of an adsorbent – aluminum oxide, supplied from adsorbent source 72, located vertically in inner area 62, containing elongated hollow first part 68 and narrowing second part 78 located at distance D from at least partially porous lower part 60A of case 60. System 26 also includes adsorbent hopper 24, supplying pipe 30, and waste gas outlet 104. A device and a method for control of a flow of an adsorbent – aluminum oxide – in the production of aluminum are also proposed.

EFFECT: inventions allow for reduction in operational and capital costs, reduction in an area occupied with equipment.
