FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: energy storage system includes at least one body and a hollow shaft structure. This structure has an internal liquid containing volume. At least one of the above bodies is arranged in the internal volume of the hollow shaft structure for movement under action of gravity force from the first position as to height to the second position as to height in the internal volume of the hollow shaft structure. Besides, the system includes a reverse fluid medium path structure. This structure is connected as to fluid medium to the hollow shaft structure and serves for connection of fluid medium to the first part of the internal volume of the hollow shaft structure. The above first part of the internal volume of the hollow shaft structure is located vertically below the above said body. Besides, the system includes an electric generator. The electric generator is functionally connected to the above said reverse fluid medium path structure with a possibility of actuating the electric generator for generation of electricity at movement of the above said one body under action of gravity force from the first position as to height to the second position as to height. At least the above said one body includes several bodies. The system also includes a structure for suspension of each of the above bodies and random release of bodies for individual movement under action of gravity force from the first position as to height to the second position as to height.
EFFECT: creation of energy storage systems, which can be used as reliable and available energy sources for common needs, short-term sources for industrial needs.
