SUBSTANCE: ultrasonic converter of an ultrasonic flow meter is equipped with a body comprising an end close to the point of fixation, an end distant from the point of fixation, and an inner volume. At the same time the ultrasonic converter of the ultrasonic flow meter is made as capable of connection to a pipe unit of an ultrasonic flow meter, a plastic matching layer and a converting element connected to the inner surface of the plastic matching layer. At the same time the plastic matching layer has external surface and internal surface and is tightly connected to the distant end of the body and is arranged as closing it. Also the plastic matching layer has a coefficient of thermal expansion, which is higher than the coefficient of thermal expansion of the body.
EFFECT: higher durability of a flow meter and its components.
