FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: radioactive radiation detector unit (20) comprises a scintillation detector (22) of radioactive radiation designed to generate a light signal which is a function of the detected radioactive radiation. A photodetector (40), which is configured for operable connection with said scintillation detector (22), is provided to facilitate reception of the light signal from the scintillation detector and generation of an electrical which is a function of the obtained light signal. The casing (44) of the photodetector (40) can be electrically connected to said photodetector (40). At least one of the elements, the casing (44) or the photodetector (40) can be electrically connected to a power supply electrode, as a result of which, upon electrical connection, the casing of the photodetector and the photodetector itself have substantially the same electric potential.

EFFECT: reduced noise in the electrical signal of a photomultiplier and a radioactive detector unit.
