SUBSTANCE: multimedia device including a separating entity configured to separate a multimedia stream into audio frames and video frames, a sequencing entity configured to add a sequence number to at least one audio frame, a transceiver configured to transmit audio frames to a remote audio device and a controller connected to a video player. The controller is configured to determine a delay associated with transmitting the audio frames to the remote audio device based upon the sequence number and to control the presentation of the video frames in the video player based on the delay.
EFFECT: effective synchronisation of audio and video frames.
