FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention belongs to a radar-tracking method of measurement of range of a moving object on the basis of a phase method. The essence of the declared method consists in the fact that they carry out consecutive sounding of an object by signals by RLS signals representing pairs of continuous harmonious fluctuations with identical frequency at one fluctuation and other frequencies of RLS at other fluctuation. The distinctive feature of the method is the choice as the frequency identical to all probing signals, most spaced relative to the initial frequency, meaning use of pairs of frequencies for probing signals having a big frequency separation. After mixture of fluctuations of the probing and reflected signals in the same interval of sounding they carry out allocation of Doppler frequencies and measurement of their phase difference. At intervals of time of sounding, using one signal, they determine a phase of a Doppler signal being a Doppler shift of frequency of fluctuations of the probing signal, most spaced relative to the initial frequency, and phase differences of Doppler frequencies of other probing signals according to a certain settlement formula. Values of appropriate differences of phases of Doppler frequencies for calculations of phase differences of Doppler frequencies for sounding signals, in which they use an initial frequency in the same time interval as the identical one.
EFFECT: increase in unequivocally measured range and increase in number of measurements with specified accuracy on a trajectory of a moving object.
