FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction materials, namely to field of fireproof swelling materials and is intended for application on external and internal surfaces of wooden and wooden glued constructions for protection against fire and prevention of spread of flame on the surface of constructions. Fireproof composition for wood coating contains melanin, pentaerythrite, titanium dioxide, long-chained ammonium polyphosphate, dispersion of vinyl acetylene copolymer, as well as functional additives - ethylene glycol for reduction of minimal temperature of film-formation, paraffin-based foam extinguisher, hydroxyethylcellulose as structure-forming agent and water.

EFFECT: invention ensures increase of fireproof efficiency, reduction of toxicity of combustion products, prevention of flame spread on the surface of wooden construction, reduction of minimal temperature of film-formation of coating and increase of radiation resistance of coating.
