FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves the electrophysical examination of the neuromuscular transmission of an injured muscle. The neuromuscular transmission is examined by an indirect rhythmic supramaximal stimulation of the injured muscle at 3 pulses/second. A generalised amplitude decay of the M response to a first supramaximal provoked electric stimuli below normal, and the absence of dependence between a decrement degree of the M response and manifested paresis of the injured muscle enable predicting the developing myasthenic crisis.
EFFECT: method provides the early prediction of the myasthenic crisis; it is accessible, technologically feasible, and non-invasive.
