SUBSTANCE: invention relates to image signal decoding means. The method involves decoding by determining an initial frame position in a main stream based on an access unit delimiter, which indicates the boundary between access units at the beginning of a frame, a basic stream in which the access unit delimiter is inserted in form of a NAL unit, which includes a NAL unit content parameter, decoding by determining the initial frame position in a dependant stream based on a dependant delimiter which indicates the boundary between frames at the beginning of the frame, a dependant stream in which the dependant delimiter is inserted in form of a NAL unit, which includes a parameter having a value different from the value of the parameter of the access unit delimiter.
EFFECT: enabling easy detection of image boundaries in a dependant bit stream.
