SUBSTANCE: invention relates to joint device for toilet cover and/or seat in a vehicle, with at least one fixation element (107-110) with rotating link to mounting flange (101, 102) for cover or seat attachment and fixed coupling with locking groove formed as an indent and engaging with a tensile locking element to lock the cover opened. To form a joint device with locking function and easy assembly compared to existing level of technology without adverse effect on vandal or tamper protection, a locking element according to invention is made in the form of locking rod (106) which can turn around its lengthwise axis and exert spring effect radial to rotation axis of holding elements and is mounted so as to enable rotation during locking and de-locking of locking groove on the rod to prevent relative shift between contacted locking element and holding element.
