SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to railway automation, telemechanics and communication. The method for continuous automatic cab signalling involves decoding code signals arriving at a mobile unit on track circuits, and ceasing signal decoding in the absence of a signal. Further, a signal on the absence of a code signal in track circuits is generated, based on which a locomotive signalling light displays signal information extracted from messages transmitted to the locomotive from a central control station over a digital communication radio link. The apparatus for realising the method includes a locomotive signalling signal receiver, an on-board computer unit for controlling the locomotive, a unit for determining the position and parameters of movement of the locomotive, a radio link transceiver and a central station for controlling train movement and a locomotive signalling light unit. The apparatus further includes an inverter which is connected to the locomotive signalling signal receiver and the on-board computer unit for controlling the locomotive.
EFFECT: safer train movement.
