SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, in particular to a device for mixing the components that make up the feed for animals. The installation comprises a frame, a drum mounted on it with the ability to rotate, consisting of sections, and a drive. The drum is mounted horizontally. The drum is made of three or more trapezoidal strips twisted in a helical line in the longitudinal direction and curved in the transverse direction in a helical line with different widths and with their increase in length of the drum to form along the perimeter of the drum of three or more helical grooves and helical lines with variable increasing pitch from loading to unloading, and also internal curved surfaces of concave or convex shape relative to the axis of rotation of the drum with the centers of curvature the outside or inside of the drum. Along the entire length of the drum a spring of conical shape is mounted with a rectangular cross-section of the turns. The spring is provided with a device to change pitches of turns by its extension or compression.

EFFECT: use of the invention enables to enhance the technological capabilities of the installation for preparation feed.
