FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to method of predicting bronchopulmonary dysplasia in premature infants with extreme low body weight (ELBW) at birth. Substance of method consists in the following: umbilical blood of child is analysed on the basis of determination of informative parameters: gestational age of child at birth, concentration of interferon -γ and C-reactive protein in serum of umbilical blood with the following calculation of prognostic index by formula. At D lower than 0 conclusion about absence of prognostic indicators of bronchopulmonary dysplasia development in premature infants with extreme low body weight (ELBW) is made, and at D higher than 0 development of bronchopulmonary dysplasia is predicted.
EFFECT: application of claimed method makes it possible to realise early pre-clinical prediction of bronchopulmonary dysplasia development in new-born babies with ELBW.
