FIELD: physics, atomic power.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to atomic power engineering. The device has a housing in form of a vessel, the bottom of which is depressed towards the centre with an inclination of 10-20 degrees, and the thickness of the bottom is at least 30% greater than the thickness of the side wall of the housing. Inside the housing there are briquettes of diluent material of a uranium-containing oxide corium, joined by cement mortar and placed in steel blocks. The mass of the diluent material is defined by the condition of providing inversion of melts of uranium-containing and steel components of the corium and limiting thermal flux supplied to the housing to an acceptable level. The mass of the steel elements of the blocks is defined by the condition of lowering temperature of the steel component of the corium to an acceptable level. The blocks are placed in multiple horizontal layers. The bottom of the lower block has a shape matching that of the bottom of the housing. Blocks placed above have a centre hole. Assemblies for attaching the blocks to the housing and to each other are placed in vertical recesses of blocks, wherein recesses and, partially, the blocks are filled with concrete.
EFFECT: high efficiency of the device and easy assembly thereof.
