FIELD: nuclear industry.
SUBSTANCE: melt localization devices (hereinafter MLDs), in particular sacrificial fillers intended for receiving and distributing the melt of a nuclear reactor core. The filler of the melt localization device contains briquettes of uranium-containing oxide corium diluent material, bound with cement mortar and placed in the lower, middle and upper steel blocks. The lower steel block contains a body with a lid and a bottom recessed towards the center, and a metal structure. The metal structure consists of a central hexagonal equilateral shell, to the edges of which radial sectors are connected, one end of each sector is connected to one edge of the shell, between the radial sectors and the walls of the body there are quadrangular trapezoidal, hexagonal equilateral cells filled with protective concrete and plates of iron and concrete oxides.
EFFECT: improving the reliability of the melt localization device.
