FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, radiology, pulmonology and can be used to assess an internal structure of spherical growths in diagnosing lung diseases by computed tomography. The spherical pulmonary growths are examined with using sections by three-dimensional targeted densitometry inside the spherical pulmonary growths with recovering the volume of interest, which is used as a densitometric density free from destruction segments, and/or calcification segments in the selected volume. The pixel values are selected sequentially between the sections in the recovered volumes of interest in DICOM files. The derived densitometric density distributions are analysed both in the section plane, and taking into account the different sections in the selected volume.
EFFECT: method provides accurate nosology and differential diagnosis of the lung disease up to 98%, enables avoiding the additional invasive diagnostic procedures, reducing the time of diagnosis up to one week.
