FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used for local removal of dielectric coats from metal parts, for example, for welding, soldering, gluing, etc. Proposed method comprises processing the part by electric pulses generated by rotary brush-electrode in two steps. At first step, brush-electrode is connected to low-voltage current source in reverse polarity circuit. Note here that brush-electrode feed rate is controlled by maintaining initial current strength between said brush-electrode and metal surface. At second step, remainder of dielectric coat is removed at connecting the brush-electrode in forward polarity circuit. Note here that brush-electrode feed rate is controlled by maintaining initial stabilisation current strength.

EFFECT: accelerated process, sufficient surface quality at areas with removed coatings.
