SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, in particular, to control of reduction smelting process. The method to control the process of reduction smelting includes recovery of a charge material with a reduction gas when using carbon media and additives, melting of cast iron or steel semi-finished products, bleed of the reacted reduction gas as a waste gas and its removal after treatment as a recirculating gas. Some recirculating gas is thermally recycled in a gas turbine. Spent gas is used in a recycling steam generator for generation of steam. The remaining part of the recirculating gas is sent to a device for separation of CO2, and residual gas is sent to a recycling steam generator and burnt for additional steam generation.
EFFECT: invention provides for usage of a recirculating gas in a gas turbine and gas and steam power plants.
